7 tips to have your home stand out
Here are some tips on how to prepare your home to look it's best on the day of the photoshoot.

1
Exterior
Curb appeal (the exterior view of your home) is super important! It is the main photo potential homebuyers will see when browsing homebuying sites.
Your lawn should be neat without clutter or small trash. Extras such as plants and flowers enhance the pictures! In addition, all garbage and cans will need to be removed for the shoot. Lastly, the car should not be in the driveway so we can get a full view of the house!
2
Clutter
This is the most important item to prep for before the shoot! When all clutter and items are removed, it makes the house have a cleaner fresh look and buyers can imagine how they might use the space. A clean and clutter-free space also looks larger and more spacious to prospective homebuyers!
Remove items and knickknacks from all surfaces such as counters, tables, dressers, bathroom surfaces and shelves. You can leave one or 2 choice pieces on counters or coffee tables such as flowers or statement pieces. If you have an excess amount of clutter or furniture that you plan on disposing of before the move, best do that before the shoot.

3
Lighting
Lighting is one of the most important aspects of photography. It's essential for the home to have as much light and look as bright as possible.
Turn on all of the lights in the house and open all shades or curtains to allow in as much natural light as possible. If you can, replace all burned out lightbulbs and add a lamp in dark spaces. No such thing as too much light!
4
Turn it OFF!
All fans must be turned off prior to shooting. Rooms are generally photographed using HDR photography whereas multiple photos are taken of the same spot when blended together. If the fan is on there will be a large blurry area where the fan is supposed to be.
All TVs, computers, and screens should be turned off or to a solid screen saver mode. Security cameras can stay on.

5
Personal Photos
Your family is super cute, but we definitely don’t want them posted online! Remove all the ones that you can easily put away.
Any other personal photos will be blurred out in the final editing.
6
Pets
Not everyone has or likes pets, so although your adorable pet is beloved amongst your family, for the photos you must remove all signs of pets. That includes beds, feeding trays, cages and toys that you have around the house.

7
Personal Touches
Make your home look inviting! Prepare the beds, place a decorative throw, arrange freshly-picked flowers in vases at strategic locations, introduce elegant vases as accents, and eliminate any holiday decorations.
Additionally, declutter refrigerators and walls by removing magnets and stickers.
